Lead Engineer Data

About the mandate

For a data centre environment in Muizen (Mechelen), we are looking for an experienced lead engineer data. You report to the Operations Manager and are responsible for the IT solutions that support the day-to-day operation of the data centre: the ITSM application, the access control application and the management systems for physical security and monitoring of the OT installations. You also follow up the outsourced IT services of an external service provider. In addition, you are responsible for the SLA and KPI reporting of the data centre, mainly in Power BI, and you lead the team on data solutions. You manage supplier contracts with a focus on SLAs, provide input for policies, processes and procedures within the ISO standards (with attention to ISO27001) and actively take part in audits. Your profile is that of a generalist with a broad IT foundation who goes into depth where needed. Occasional remote working is possible.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the IT solutions for the day-to-day operation of the data centre
• Follow up outsourced IT services (incident, request, change) at an external service provider
• Manage the ITSM application and the application for automating access control to the data centre
• Support the management applications: BMS physical security and DCMS monitoring of the OT installations
• Manage internal and external supplier contracts with a focus on SLAs
• Deliver the housing SLA reporting and the KPI reporting using Power BI, SP and Grafana
• Develop Power BI reports to support operational excellence (master data versus production data)
• Lead the team on data solutions and provide input for ISO policies, processes and procedures (ISO27001), including taking part in audits

Must-haves

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electro Information Technology or equivalent through experience
• At least 10 years of experience in managing IT and data installations
• At least 5 years of experience in coaching and operational management of direct reports
• At least 5 years of experience in managing suppliers
• Strong in Power BI reporting
• Experience with customer and supplier management
• Experience with the ISO27001 standard
• Basic knowledge of ITIL

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with OT
• Broad experience with IT infrastructure (server, network), operating systems (Microsoft and open source), databases and applications
