Senior Integration Analyst

About the mandate

You are the link between the business, the architecture and the development teams within integration projects. You turn data exchange needs into usable technical specifications, design and validate APIs, and ensure reliable data flows in production through thorough testing. You work independently with integration technologies and APIs and contribute to the migration of existing MuleSoft flows to Azure Integration Services. You write and analyse OpenAPI and WSDL contracts, run test campaigns, investigate HTTP and authentication errors and safeguard end-to-end quality. You also support delivery and maintenance in production, including level 2 and 3 incident analysis, and keep the integration documentation and governance in order.

Responsibilities

• Gather data exchange needs from business teams, Product Owners and partners
• Draw up Interface Design Documents with API contracts, data mappings, transformation rules, error handling, volumes and SLAs
• Position flows within the target architecture (xAPI, pAPI, sAPI) and identify deviations from the API-led principles
• Define and review OpenAPI (REST) and WSDL/XSD (SOAP) contracts, and choose suitable integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, batch, publish/subscribe)
• Determine security requirements: OAuth2, certificates, client credentials, APIM subscription keys, JWT and mTLS
• Analyse existing MuleSoft flows (DataWeave, connectors, orchestrations), document business rules and develop target solutions in Azure Integration Services
• Define the test strategy for integrations, maintain Postman collections and carry out functional, contract, regression and performance tests, including automated tests in Azure DevOps
• Validate the readiness of flows, take part in Go/No-Go decisions, analyse level 2 and 3 incidents and maintain documentation in Confluence (API catalogue, IDDs, mappings, runbooks)

Must-haves

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of experience in integration analysis, API analysis and/or API testing
• Experience with end-to-end integration projects, from analysis to production
• Experience with Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, BizTalk, Boomi or comparable integration platforms
• Solid knowledge of REST, SOAP, OpenAPI, WSDL, JSON, XML and API security (OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS)
• Mastery of Postman, API testing, troubleshooting and SQL
• Analytical, independent, accurate and quality-oriented
• Excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team and sharing knowledge

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Azure Integration Services, Azure DevOps, Application Insights and Log Analytics (KQL)
• Experience with MuleSoft, DataWeave and event-driven architectures
• Certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-204, Azure Integration or ISTQB Foundation
