About the mandate
A large organisation is running a multi-year transformation project around a central platform for member data, contributions, premiums and reimbursements. The platform supports federal and regional processes and is linked to accounting, SEPA payments and analytical reporting. The programme combines the migration from an existing central member and financial management system with new bespoke functionality. As a freelance Senior Functional Analyst, you translate complex business processes into clear, feasible functional specifications. You work closely with domain experts, product owners, testers, developers and suppliers. You verify data migrations and financial calculations, and you carry out the business analysis yourself when needed. The working environment is hybrid, with meetings at the office in Brussels.

- Guide the analysis phase for new developments, bug fixes and improvements
- Act as the point of contact for development teams and suppliers, and align priorities with product owners, testers and project management
- Prepare and carry out functional tests, verify data migrations and financial calculations such as member balances, and flag inconsistencies
- Maintain functional documentation, train key users and share knowledge through release notes, demos and feedback loops
- Map as-is and to-be processes, identify opportunities for improvement in workflows and data flows, and advise on process standardisation

- Very good communication in Dutch and French (professional level), plus English
- Analytically strong, diplomatic, structured and solution-oriented
- Master's or bachelor's degree in (applied) economics, IT or equivalent through experience
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of databases and data processing (queries, data structures, data flows)
- Knowledge of Power BI, Excel analysis and SharePoint
- Certification in requirements engineering or business analysis (IREB CPRE, CBAP, Agile BA)
What the employer offers
